Read the Bible Together
We believe God speaks through his Word. Each week we open the Bible in small groups and public talks to see who Jesus is and why he matters.
We’re Bendigo Christian Union: a community of students who are Jesus focused, committed to Know Him, Love Him, Share Him, Live for him on campus. Uni can be exciting but also overwhelming, and we believe Jesus brings clarity, hope, and purpose to it all. That’s why we meet together — to read the Bible, encourage one another, and share the good news of Jesus with our campus.

Uni is better when it’s shared. We connect over meals, socials, and everyday life — building friendships that encourage and support each other.
We want the good news of Jesus to be heard across our campus. Through events, conversations, and invitations, we share the hope he offers to everyone.
Some of us study Engineering. Some of us study Finance. Some of us study Graphic Design. But what unites us is that we are all students seeking to know and love Jesus, fuelled by his word and Spirit, to reach our campus with the good news of God’s grace. And we’d love to meet you!
Meet our people
Bendigo Christian Union is dedicated to serving and loving La Trobe in practical and unique ways. So we host events and activities for both students who identify as Christian, and those curious about faith. We think the best way to love our campus is to invite everyone to know Jesus, who brings freedom and meaning to our lives.
Our group at Bendigo Christian Union began with a few students wanting to explore Jesus together. Over time, we’ve grown into a community of friends, learners, and leaders — all seeking to make faith meaningful in uni life. There’s a rich history behind how we came to be, and we’d love for you to see it for yourself.
Our history
Our group is part of AFES, a national community of students discovering Jesus together. All AFES groups across Australia stand in the same grace of God, the same gospel of Christ. Being part of this wider community means we’re connected to other campus groups, supported by experienced staff, and able to be part of something bigger than ourselves.
